27th Edition of the
Course on Spinal Advanced Microsurgery (SAM)

Topic: Posterior approaches to the lumbar spine

Dear colleagues,

Microsurgical and minimally invasive techniques have gained in- creased importance in spinal surgery in the last years. They have be- come the gold standard in the treatment of a variety of pathologies of the spine and represent the ongoing evolution of surgical techniques towards more tissue-sparing approaches.

The more sophisticated a technique, the more important training and education becomes. Our past international microsurgical wet labs, a joint venture of Schön Klinik Munich Harlaching and the Department of Anatomy of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, were a great suc- cess and have encouraged us to proceed with this teaching concept.

After Covid-related cancellations, we proudly announce the 27th Course on Spinal Advanced Microsurgery 2023, a hands-on cadaver course on posterior approaches to the lumabr spine.
It would be a pleasure for us, the faculty and the organisers, to welcome you in Munich from 12–13 October 2023!

Sincerely,
Christoph Mehren, M.D. Andreas Korge, M.D.
