Spinal Endoscopy 2026 - Introduction and Advanced Courses

Spinal Endoscopy 2026 offers structured endoscopic training delivered in small groups at IRCAD Strasbourg. The programme combines pre-course e-learning with intensive hands-on surgical skills lab training and expert-led case discussions.

Choose the Introduction Course if you are new to spinal endoscopy, or the Advanced Course if you already have endoscopic experience and want to refine technique and expand to advanced applications, including fusion strategies.

Hands-On Surgical Skills Lab Training

Train at IRCAD in a structured station format using anatomical specimens, surgical simulators, and virtual reality technologies.

Small Group, High Interaction (Max. 24)

Limited places ensure close faculty supervision, direct technical feedback, and meaningful faculty interaction.

Two Levels of Training

Choose between the Introduction Course (foundational endoscopic techniques) or the Advanced Course (complex procedures and fusion strategies).

Blended Learning Format

Combine pre-course e-learning with intensive onsite surgical skills lab training to maximise practical learning time.

Introduction to Spinal Endoscopy

25 June 2026

Designed for spine surgeons who are new to spinal endoscopy and want a structured introduction to core techniques.

Participants Will Gain

  • Fundamental understanding of endoscopic spine surgery principles
  • Training in interlaminar and transforaminal approaches
  • Identification and navigation of lumbar anatomy under endoscopic visualisation
  • Practical experience in lumbar discectomy and decompression
  • Strategies for avoiding and managing complications

The course follows a blended format combining e-learning with structured surgical skills lab training at IRCAD.

Participants rotate through small-group stations to maximise hands-on exposure and faculty interaction.

Advanced Spinal Endoscopy

26 June 2026

Designed for surgeons with existing endoscopic experience who wish to refine technique, troubleshoot complex scenarios, and expand their procedural repertoire.

Participants Will Gain

  • Advanced cervical endoscopic procedures
  • Expanded lumbar decompression strategies
  • Endoscopic fusion techniques (monoportal and biportal)
  • Structured troubleshooting of technical challenges
  • Complication management strategies
  • Thoracic procedures discussed through case-based sessions 

The Advanced Course combines intensive surgical skills lab training with expert-led case discussions to strengthen both technical execution and clinical decision-making in complex scenarios.
