21st Annual Meeting of the German Spine Society (DWG)

The 21st Annual Meeting of the German Spine Society (DWG) will take place from 9 to 11 December 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany, under the motto “Global vernetzt. Tech orientiert”. The congress will bring together national and international experts to discuss current developments in spinal medicine and treatment.

The scientific programme will feature international speakers from various regions, as well as joint sessions with leading German-speaking medical societies. For the first time, two stages will be installed in the exhibition area, offering interactive sessions, case discussions, rapid-fire presentations, policy topics and science slams alongside the main programme.

A particular focus will be placed on technological developments in spine surgery, including endoscopy, robotics, artificial intelligence and innovative implants. The congress will also expand its programmes for nursing professionals and therapists, incorporating more interactive formats.

Abstract submissions are open until 30 June 2026. All accepted contributions will be presented either in the main scientific programme or as rapid-fire presentations.

The social programme will include a party night at Nachtkind Club and a gala evening at Ofenwerk, a venue dedicated to classic automobiles. The congress will take place at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, which is easily accessible by train, plane and car.
