EuSSAB Award Winning Lecture

Outstanding national research recognised by the EuSSAB Council. A format that gives visibility to high-quality scientific contributions from across the EUROSPINE network.

Spine Meets — New in 2026

A new cross-disciplinary format for 2026. Spine Meets connects spine surgery with adjacent fields and new ways of thinking — from mechanobiology and translational research (Wednesday 7 October) to the demands of high-performing athletes and return-to-play medicine (Friday 9 October). Delegates gain insight into how other disciplines can directly inform clinical spine practice.

Case Discussions

Set on a small stage and designed for a smaller audience, Case Discussions create close engagement with expert faculty. Real case scenarios drive the session — delegates follow practical reasoning, compare approaches, and gain lessons from complex clinical decision-making. Sessions across the three days cover motion preservation in the lumbar spine, hip and spine overlap, paediatric hemivertebra, and the new 'The Case that fooled us' format.

Audience Favourite Sessions and Debates

Big clinical questions, contrasting expert views, and audience voting come together in the Audience Favourite Sessions. Thursday's session debates the real-world value of robotics in spine surgery. Friday's session addresses lumbar stenosis in degenerative scoliosis — fusion versus decompression.
