Call for applications for EUROSPINE Officers
Would you like to serve the spine care community? EUROSPINE is looking for candidates to contribute to its councils and committees in various roles.
Applications are open until 23 March 2026.
Why Get Involved
EUROSPINE’s councils and committees are central to the Society’s educational standards, research initiatives, scientific programming, patient advocacy, and community development.
Serving as a volunteer leader provides the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making, strengthen professional networks, and help advance spine care across Europe and beyond.
Through this structured nomination process, EUROSPINE ensures transparent governance, leadership continuity, and active member engagement.
Evaluation Process
The Nomination Committee 2026 oversees a structured and confidential evaluation process conducted in accordance with EUROSPINE’s Statutes.
All submitted applications are reviewed against the eligibility criteria and the requirements outlined in the respective job descriptions. Where applicable, the Committee conducts structured interviews for designated roles as part of the formal assessment. Following the review and interview phase, the Committee submits its recommendations in line with the Society’s governance framework.
All submissions are treated as strictly confidential. Incomplete or late applications cannot be considered.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Be EUROSPINE Premium or Standard Members in good standing
- Have a professional background in spine care
- Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills
- Be able to dedicate approximately one day per month to EUROSPINE affairs
- Be fluent in English
Specific eligibility requirements apply to selected Chair-Elect and senior roles, as outlined in the respective job descriptions.
What You Will Be Asked in the Application
As part of the online application, candidates will be asked to provide professional and governance information, including:
- Country of primary practice, professional title and institutional affiliation
- LinkedIn profile URL and optional ORCID ID
- Previous engagement with EUROSPINE and/or peer societies
- Governance, leadership or strategic experience
- Confirmation of availability to dedicate time to EUROSPINE activities

Nomination Committee 2026
Chaired by Dominique Rothenfluh, Past President, the Nomination Committee oversees the review and evaluation of applicants for all officer and committee member positions within EUROSPINE. The Committee operates under established, clear and fair procedures in accordance with the Society’s Statutes.
The Committee’s mandate extends until 31 October 2026.
