60. Jahrestagung der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Unfallchirurgie und 5. Jahrestagung der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Orthopädie und Traumatologie

Orthopaedic and traumatological emergency care in Austria faces significant challenges due to a shortage of medical staff. Hospitals are overwhelmed, training conditions are challenging, and maintaining a work-life balance is crucial. Nevertheless, quick recognition and treatment of emergencies are essential to prevent patient harm or death.

Given the current situation, there's a risk of inadequate orthopaedic-traumatological emergency care. Recognising and addressing acute situations promptly and correctly remains our top priority as traumatologists.

In our upcoming congress, we will focus on emergency care, the cornerstone of our medical practice, to better equip ourselves against daily challenges. This event aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and provide updates on new findings in the field.
