Call for applications for EUROSPINE Officers

EUROSPINE’s Nomination Committee is pleased to announce a call for applications for various positions within our organization. We invite eligible candidates to participate in this opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of EUROSPINE. Applications will be considered and reviewed by the Nomination Committee in a fair and confidential process in accordance with the Society’s Statutes and Internal Rules.

All terms of office for the roles commence as of 1 November 2024 as described in the respective job descriptions of the open positions.

Are you:

  • An active EUROSPINE member
  • A spine care professional
  • A good and clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • A good listener with the ability to work in multicultural environments
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Prepared to spend the equivalent of an average of one day per month on EUROSPINE affairs

EUROSPINE invites all potential candidates who (i) fulfill the Society’s criteria for applying for the role(s); and (ii) meet the requirements provided in the job descriptions, to submit their completed applications with the following:

  • Recent photograph
  • Motivation letter
  • Up to date curriculum vitae/resume
  • Optional: Recommendation letters

The online platform to apply will be open  until 15 May 2024. 

The deadline for applications is 15 May 2024 at 23:59 CEST. All nominees (whether self-nominated or nominated by  a EUROSPINE member) will need to apply individually. Please note that we will only consider applications submitted via our online tool.

Application and election procedures

The Nomination Committee (NomCom) for 2024 consist of Sabrina Donzelli, Marisa Gandia, Frank Kandziora, Christoph Siepe, and Marco Teli (Chair). The NomCom will operate with established clear and fair procedures for the review and evaluation of applicants for all officer positions in EUROSPINE. Self-nominations and/or nominations by other EUROSPINE members are permissible provided that applications are submitted via the online platform.

NomCom members are not allowed to nominate candidates. The NomCom will implement a vetting process for all applicants which includes submitted documents reviews, in-depth discussions with respective committee and task force chairs, and interviews for all executive committee positions. All applications will be treated as strictly confidential, and subject to EUROSPINE’s privacy policy.
