Statement regarding the current situation in Ukraine

EUROSPINE, the Spine Society of Europe, is following the developments in Ukraine with great concern. As we continue to bear witness to shocking military aggression, our thoughts go out to all people suffering from this terrible war, and its global consequences.

As this crisis continues to expand into a growing humanitarian catastrophe, EUROSPINE and its members remain committed to the promotion of spine health and education, and are ramping up efforts to find ways to address and reduce the suffering. EUROSPINE stands for the improvement of care for all spine patients through a collective approach. We are fully dedicated to the exchanges of scientific knowledge, promoting trusting relationships and sharing these with governmental and health related organisations around the world, whilst embracing diversity, inclusion, and equity. We will continue in our efforts to ensure the health and safety of all peoples, regardless of where they are located, by working to expand spine related treatments, while urgently calling for peace, respect, and cooperation as being fundamental for the greater good.

If you would like to contribute, we recommend supporting international aid organisations, such as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which initiates relief efforts for civilian victims and refugees in the region.
