TFR Travel Grants

EUROSPINE TFR is sponsoring four travel grants à €2,000 for the TFR Course "How to Make your Research more Relevant, Feasible and Publishable"

The €2,000 stipends are intended to cover the registration fees (participants will be required to register as any participant), travel and accommodation costs to attend the course.

The course is open to all clinicians interested in gaining a basic understanding of clinical research. This course will provide clinicians with an overview of the methodology used to conduct clinical research. The purpose of the course is to provide clinicians with the fundamental concepts and tools to design clinical studies.

Who is eligible to apply for the travel grant and how to apply?

Applicants
  • Applicants must be members or applicant members of EUROSPINE
  • Applicants must be under 40 years of age.

Application supporting documents
  • Applicants must provide their current CV in English
  • Applicants must provide a copy of their Passport/ID showing their birthdate
  • A letter stating their clinical/research specialty and how the course would contribute to their career must be provided by the applicants.
  • If the applicant is a current graduate or post graduate student/resident, a letter from the supervisor or director of training is requested, confirming that the applicant will be allowed to attend the course.
  • A reference letter from current supervisor

Application and selection process

  • The EUROSPINE Task Force Research (TFR) Committee will allocate the travel grants based on application. Stipends will be given to the best applications.
  • The application deadline is 1 January 2019.
  • Applications must be made through the below application form. E-mail applications will not be accepted.
  • Decision of who will be funded will be taken on 15 January 2019. Decision cannot be contested and is final.
  • Applicants will be advised of the decision by the end of January 2019 if they have been selected to receive the travel fellowship or not.
