Overview
The EUROSPINE Diploma in Interprofessional Spine Care (EDISC) is an education initiative aimed at developing expertise and empowering spine care professionals of all specialties.
Given the need for continuous professional development in spine care, EDISC provides health care practitioners engaged in non-surgical and surgical care with an interprofessional, harmonised and evidence-based curriculum on patient-centred collaborative care.
This people-centred education activity, developed by an interprofessional team of experts with guidance from medical education specialists, promotes collaborative care using evidence-based best practice to improve patient outcomes.

Target Audience
Healthcare professionals in Europe in order of availability and access: primary care physicians and surgeons involved in spine care, physiotherapist, chiropractors, osteopaths, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, nursing practitioners, naprapaths and other spine care professionals who graduated as clinicians from a recognised institution (i.e. professional school or university).At least two years of clinical experience is recommended but all new graduates are encouraged to register.
How to obtain the EDISC Diploma
The EDISC Diploma can be obtained by completing 7 modules over a period of three years.The EDISC programme is built sequentially starting with module 1 and ending with module 7. If the learner participates only in certain modules, modules in this case can be taken in a non-sequential way.
After each completed module, continuous medical education (CME) credits and a module certificate are awarded.
