EUROSPINE Research Activities Overview

The EUROSPINE strongly believes it is of key importance to support research, educate researchers and foster an active research community within the society.

This is achieved through the various EUROSPINE Research Activities described below and follows the Task Force Research Vision.

Research Courses

To educate researchers, the EUROSPINE organises several courses per year, such as:

  • Critical appraisal of the spine literature
  • TFR Course: How to make your research more relevant, feasible and publishable

Find out more about the research course offer here: www.eurospine.org/research-courses.htm

Spine Tango

To foster an active research community within the society, in 2002 the EUROSPINE launched Spine Tango in cooperation with the Swiss RDL - medical Registries and Data Linkage (former IEFM) at the Institute for Social and Preventive Medicine of the University of Bern in Switzerland.

Spine Tango`s IT and security structure is based on the distributed server concept consisting of a network of national modules, each module serving as own database having only demographic data of patients on it. Anonymous medical data are stored on a central database at the University of Bern. This setup is fulfilling highest possible security standards. Find detailed information here.
