Overview

The EUROSPINE Diploma Equivalence Programme

  • enables national/scientific spine societies in obtaining recognition that their programme is equivalent to that of EUROSPINE.
  • allows young surgeons who have completed their education and attended partner societies' validated diploma programmes to receive the EUROSPINE Diploma.

Societies with which an agreement has been signed for the diploma

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR EANS DIPLOMATES: Equivalence is only valid as of 2018 diplomates for the EUROSPINE diploma (not retroactively).

Equivalence for National and Scientific Societies

Any European country/society can apply to this process as long as they are Institutional Members of EUROSPINE and have a recognised national spine curricula with similar aims and learning outcomes of the EUROSPINE Diploma.

To formally ask for equivalence, an application form must be completed by the society and returned to the EUROSPINE for review at .

Equivalence for Surgeons

Any practicing surgeon who has completed his/her education and completed a validated national society diploma programme can apply for equivalence. Several societies have now signed an agreement with EUROSPINE.

Multiple Sources Application

Furthermore, surgeons who have completed modules multiple locations with various societies can also apply for equivalence. They will need to complete the multiple sources application form.
