EUROSPINE Awards 2019

In order to encourage research in the field of spinal disorders, EUROSPINE, the Spine Society of Europe will award several prizes which will be presented at the EUROSPINE 2019 meeting and published in the European Spine Journal.

EUROSPINE Full Paper Award € 10,000

The award will be chosen either from:

  • full papers, that need to be submitted to (e-version, one document in a pdf) by 1 March 2019 at the latest or
  • out of the seven best abstract submissions for the 2019 EUROSPINE meeting

From submitted abstracts:
The authors of the selected abstracts will be informed accordingly after the Programme Committee's meeting beginning of May. The selected authors will then be invited to submit a full paper manuscript until 15 June.

Full paper submission:
The paper has to be written according to the guidelines of the European Spine Journal. The manuscript must be in English and the material has to be original and not previously published or submitted for publication. At least one author of the winning paper must attend at his/her own expense EUROSPINE 2019 which is being held in Helsinki, Finland from 16–18 October, to present the paper and receive the award.

Besides the award, the winning paper goes into European Spine Journal's first issue in the following year.

Conditions:
  • the paper should aim to promote best practice in the management of spinal conditions
  • it should report clinical research with a clear impact on daily practice
  • at least one of the authors should be a EUROSPINE member or candidate member.

Additional award during the Annual Meeting:
Best EUROSPINE Podium Presentation Award € 2,000


This award will be evaluated out of the presentations that are selected for the 'Best of Show' session. The audience is asked to vote via the EUROSPINE appAchtung Link öffnet sich in einem neuen Fenster.
