Application criteria for courses to get the EUROSPINE Patronage

If courses meet pre-set criteria, patronage should occur.
Only under exception circumstances, an application should be circulated by the Education Committee for approval.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Course participation should be available to members of EUROSPINE, the Spine Society of Europe
  • The primary purpose of the course should be education
  • If commercial sponsorship is being used to support the course, more than one company must be involved. Single company sponsored courses will not receive patronage
  • At least one of the course organisers or faculty should be a member of EUROSPINE
  • The educational evaluation or the method of assessment should be explicit in the application.
  • The application for patronage must occur 12 weeks prior to the event start date
  • Confirmed content including a detailed timetable must accompany the application

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • The course should clearly allow multi-national participation
  • A balanced educational content with advantages and disadvantages of treatment options should occur

HOW TO ACHIEVE THIS?

Send the completed application form including the confirmed content and detailed timetable to at least 12 weeks prior to the event start date

A peer reviewed blind abstract scientific meeting with instructional lectures would be the gold standard and should therefore receive EUROSPINE patronage. A single product company promotional course with a large leisure component would be the opposite and should not be considered to receive EUROSPINE patronage.

APPLICATION FORM

The application (completed application form, s. below) must occur 12 weeks before the start date.
Confirmed content with detailed timetable must accompany the application.
