Fellowships

SSE International Spine Surgery Fellowship

In order to allow promising clinicians to perfect their knowledge and expertise, the Spine Society of Europe offers on a yearly basis a Clinical Spine Surgery Fellowship. The aim is for the winner to spend a set period of time (for example 3 or 12 months) in a Department of his choice somewhere in Europe. The candidates, however, do not have to be European. The fellowship should lead to at least one paper to be submitted to the European Spine Journal as the ‘SSE International Clinical Fellowship Paper’, possibly to be presented at the following EuroSpine meeting.

Candidates have to submit the following:
1. Full curriculum
2. Proposed clinical and research project, complete with time frame and budget
3. Letter of acceptance from the head of the Department where the Fellowship will take place (ideally an SSE member), who has to sign the proposal of the candidate

The Fellowship will be awarded competitively on the basis of academic merit.
