EUROSPINE DiplomaThe Education Week main programme is designed to deliver the 5 EUROSPINE Diploma Modules over a one week period. The maximum number of modules that delegates can complete during the week is 3. Module 1 being a 1 day course and all other modules running over 2 days and include practice for surgical techniques in the Cadaver Laboratory. The maximum number of attendees for each Module is 40, which allows for group discussion and small groups for hands-on surgical practice in the CadLab.
Once they have completed the 5 EUROSPINE Diploma’s modules, participants will be entitled to receive the “EUROSPINE Diploma”.
NEW in the Education Week 2018The 2 modules of the EUROSPINE Advanced Course will be available for the first time alongside the EUROSPINE Diploma Course during the Education Week 2018.
Participants in the EUROSPINE Advanced Diploma Course will get the opportunity to hear from renowned surgeons regarding surgical pearls, notions and future trends in state of the art spine surgery.
They will take part in interactive sessions with concrete and challenging case discussions and get hands-on skills training with the latest technologies in the cadaver lab workshop, simulator lab and dry lab.
Following 2017 success, the Critical Appraisal of Spine Literature Course will again be available during the Education Week 2018.
World class faculty deliver this course where you can learn to critically appraise the quality of spine literature. These skills are essential for informed decision-making and considering the evidence. It is highly relevant for your daily practice and will complement your basic diploma. CME credits are also awarded for this course.
Target AudienceEUROSPINE Diploma Course: Senior trainees and trained surgeons, who are planning a career in spinal surgery.
EUROSPINE Advanced Diploma Course: confirmed spine specialists who have completed the EUROSPINE Diploma or are already practicing for at least 2 years.
Critical Appraisal of the Spine Literature: Surgeons interested in learning how to critically appraise the quality of the spine literature.

Learning outcomesEUROSPINE Diploma Course
This course provides young surgeons with a reference based, standardized curriculum in degenerative challenges, spinal deformities, trauma, tumours & inflammatory disease which will support them in their clinical practice. Through lectures, participants will have learning outcomes based on science that can be used in critical decision making.
EUROSPINE Advanced Diploma Course
This course provides active practicing surgeons with a reference based, standardized curriculum in managing revisions and complications and in extended indications and advanced operative techniques.
Critical Appraisal of the Spine Literature
This course provides participants with the necessary skills to critically appraise the quality of the spine literature. Specifically, the course will introduce basic study designs and discuss the main threats to the validity of clinical studies.
